A disposable life
In lieu of a modern lifestyle based around recycling and resourcefulness, I propose a highly consumerist economy where everything is disposable.
Saving the planet, perhaps not. Saving our cities from financial crisis -- oh indeed.
Today's disposable item is:
Disposable Prison. You keep criminals in it once, and then it breaks. Killing them all.
