So I've gotten to the point where I'm programming the HC-05, and I load up blueflash, and I get a "processor running" message, and no ability to upload/dump. When i click stop processor, it seems to hang up on "Downloading flash stub." However, when I use PSTool i have no issue communicating with the chip. What the hell am I doing wrong? :( ------------- |

If PSTool works and can read values, then the spi is working. Maybe try doing a full chip erase if you can (although I think you still need to stop the processor to do that). Another thing is that sometimes blueflash will hang if the pstool is still running, try only using one thing at once. ------------- |

I've tried to stop the processor, the program appears to hang on "downloading flash stub" and none of the options highlight. I managed to get the dump button to highlight one single time, but when I attempted a dump the program hung up again. Could it be a bad connection or something? ------------- |

It could be. But PStool works? Does that ever hang when you try to read values? When I was doing this, I found it was the other way around, pstool hanging, but blueflash being fairly reliable. But they both tend to break when you have them both running at the same time. ------------- |

I can read values just fine, and I have NO idea what to do now - the fucking chip is so tiny I'm afraid I'll damage it if I re-solder a bunch. ------------- |

Ok, so i redid my programming setup, and got the firmware loaded, but NOW i can't get it open in PSTool to reset the frequency values and such. I get this error: "unable to find entries in the look-up table on the chip. Please use an alternative transport, update the firmware to a version that supports BCCMD/SPI, or if using a version of the firmware that is significantly newer than this software, update this software." However, i can still access the chip in blueflash and verify the RN-42.xpv file. What have I done wrong?! :( EDIT: Could it be a firmware problem? Maybe you have an updated version of the RN firmware i can use? mine might be shite. Last edit by LPD at 5 Dec 2017, 04:07 PM ------------- |

Interesting. Did you by chance take a backup/dump of the hc-05 firmware before, and if you flash that back on to it does PStool start working again? If so then yeah that would suggest what you flashed onto it was bad. I can't remember where I got my copy, it was over a year ago that I made that video, sorry. ------------- |

Nope, I don't have the HC-05 firmware at all - but I do have the important values backed up in a doc. Do you have a link to the firmware, so I can flash it? FWIW, I can flash stuff onto the chip and verify it without issue, I just cant re-open it. The few other tutorials on how to do this show people having the same issue :( ------------- |
