Forgive my naivety, as obviously the great mixtela would have thought of this, but aren't all wind turbine's made to rotate the same way, and so you'd have to run one side backwards so the lift is upwards (but with much larger drag on that side). Well obviously the best option is to have half your turbines spin the other way, but given how suboptimal the shape of the blade is for non-rotational motion I don't imagine the drag imbalance will matter too much. A helicopter was considered, but it would need to spin very, very fast. ------------- |
