Hi, I'm thinking about buying the precision clock and trying to assemble it, but I've never done anything like this. Never used a soldering iron, I know my way around computers, but not so much on the hardware side. I'm wondering if I should first experiment, learn some things and test my soldering skills first, or if it's possible to assemble the precision clock for someone like me. I'm afraid to screw something up, what do you think? ------------- |

The kit is not too hard, but if it's your first time, it probably is worth practising on something simpler. All of the joints are through-hole, which is easier than surface mount, but there are a couple of tricky bits in places. ------------- |

Thanks for the advice, I'll keep this in a bookmark and come back to it when I'll feel ready. I was fascinated by your video and it's growing on me! ------------- |
