Hi Guys I noticed that my Precision Clock did not update to BST from GMT today. I have restarted it, but still the same - stuck on GMT. Has anybody else had this problem? Is there a fix? Is it all my fault? John Murray ------------- |

Hello, One other person reported a problem too. I think it was a soldering problem to do with the "DST enable" jumper. It's possible to check this by shorting the two pins that are connected to the jumper, which happen to be on the end of the chip (pins 10 and 11). You can test it by using a wire or a pair of tweezers like this: It only checks the jumper once per second, so you'll need to hold it there for long enough for it to detect, but then the display should update to summer time. It will jump back when you let go. If it is the soldering that's a problem, the easiest way to repair it is probably to cut away the black plastic that surrounds the base of the jumper, and re-solder from this side. ------------- |
