Anything else goes in this category. Including, but not limited to, building steam engines, lathes, robots, imaginary vehicles, impossible products, unworkable devices, synthesizers, the weather, philosophy, art, fashion, the human condition, and possibly even shrubberies. I considered adding more categories for the most likely subjects but I'm probably getting ahead of myself on how many people will actually join here. ------------- |

I can't say that I have, although I do have an interest in building DIY medical imaging equipment. Were you thinking of 3D printing a brain scan, that kind of thing?Ever do anything with manipulation of DICOM image sets? ------------- |

on the topic of DIY medical devices - how about a portable echo/ultrasound imaging interface for a portable phone using the earphone jack? The earphone jack doesn't have much bandwidth, so using it directly for ultrasound might be difficult. A better option for phones would be the USB port and to have some dedicated imaging hardware on the device, a bit like how those thermal camera add-ons work. ------------- |

Sure, one moment. Done. There are a bunch of other symbols and prosigns that could be added, not sure if they are useful though. Last edit by mit at 16 Mar 2019, 05:41 PM ------------- |
