Hi! I am making a portable game console similar to the oscilloscope based console but it will be based around the AT89S52-24PU, will have a LCD screen, different games, and the controller built in to the box itself. Now I am designing the cartridges and a way to program the device, and was wondering what connectors were used in the game console project? The closest I could find are IDC connectors but the female connecter doesn't seem right. Many thanks, T ------------- |

They are indeed IDC connectors, just the standard 10-pin type. When I was breadboarding it I just had a bit of ribbon cable with an IDC connector on the end, so I used that for the cartridges, thinking I'd replace it with something better later, but in the end I kept it just because it would have meant changing all the cartridges too. The female connector on the case is missing the locking clip, and I used bare stranded wire instead of ribbon cable. ------------- |
