Hello I have a slot machine and I use 7219 maxim ic chips on a 7 segment 5 digit display . There two boards that are daisy chained together. I had ordered these 7219 chips and when I installed them I get this on my led display 5.5.5. 5.5.5 and that is whT it displays without change. The boards are suppose to display the score and what not . Please can any one help me and tell me what this means please.

I think if you want assistance, you'd have to describe the problem in a lot more detail. Are you repairing a slot machine or building one from scratch? What's controlling the chips?

I am restoring a slot machine and the original maxim 7219 cng ic chips were bad and needed replaced which I did . The ic chips are for my 7 segment 5 digit red led numerical displays and all I get is this code or something . I believe it's part of the coding on the chip. I got pictures of the control board that's controlling these ic chips but I can't send these pics for some reason so the control board chip. Is a 8g1 k. .......Hd641016cp10. M. H16. Japan. This is what is on the control board and the displays are only displaying 5.5 5. 5.5. 5. And it never changes not one bit . You think it's my new maxim chips because I tried a new mpu board and results are the same . I switched the led displays around and the results are the same and I tried running 1 at a time and it's the same thing.
